3. Professional Services

Abide in Courage Counseling provides professional counseling services in person and via telehealth to clients located in Illinois. Counseling services are offered only after intake paperwork, informed consent, and all required documentation have been completed.

 

If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, do not use this website. Please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

 

4. Telehealth Services

Telehealth counseling sessions are conducted through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform. Clients are responsible for ensuring a private and secure location for their telehealth sessions.

 

5. Payment and Insurance

Abide in Courage Counseling is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.
 

For clients using other insurance providers, superbills can be provided upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
All session fees, copays, or deductible payments are due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

6. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

 

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, may be subject to the full session fee.
 

Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency at the therapist’s discretion.

 

7. Confidentiality

Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with HIPAA and state law. Information disclosed in counseling sessions will not be shared without your written consent, except where required by law (e.g., safety concerns, suspected abuse, or court orders).

 

8. Limitation of Liability

By using this website, you agree that Abide in Courage Counseling and its clinicians are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the website or from reliance on information provided here.
